Our Story

Positive Solutions is proud to be a Certified State of New Jersey Woman-Owned (WBE) and Small Business (SBE), full-service marketing agency. We have a demonstrated track record of providing our clients with solutions-driven approaches to achieving their business objectives. With more than twelve years of experience, we offer our clients exceptional strategy, experienced counsel, and meaningful results.

At Positive Solutions, we pride ourselves on our broad base of experience. We have worked with Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, higher education, law firms, financial institutions, small businesses, government agencies. Each business sector has its own unique demands, and Positive Solutions has a track record of success in all of them.

Our Awards

Winning isn’t everything, but it’s really fun! Having said that, our Team is always forward-looking and we don’t dwell on our past awards. It’s nice to be recognized, but attention from our peers in those marketing competitions doesn’t guarantee success in the future. As a matter of fact, we’ve failed to keep track of our tally so far. (Those trophies and plaques have got to be around here somewhere…)

Andrea Kelliher

Andrea  turned her passion for results-driven communication and efficient project management into Positive Solutions in 2007. Since then, her firm has supported clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to local non-profit organizations. As an entrepreneur and owner of a certified WBE, she brings creativity, initiative, and strategic thinking to every project.

She began her career doing agency work at mid-sized firms in both New Jersey and California. Driven by a need to meet what she saw as a gap in the market, she launched Positive Solutions - a firm that provides excellent customer service without burdensome overhead costs. She leads a team of seasoned professionals capable of fulfilling all your marketing needs.

Andrea graduated from Cabrini University with a degree in English and communications. She now sits on the Board of Trustees of her alma mater in addition to volunteering with various other community-based organizations.


Scott Bruinooge

Creative Director

Scott has 25 years of experience in graphic design, publishing, marketing, and customer service. He earned his bachelors in English at TCNJ (née TSC) and spent lots of time as a layout editor, prepress manager, workflow consultant, and family man. Scott is a lifelong New Jersey guy and Philly fan who has been with the Positive Solutions team since the beginning – he even designed our logo back in ’07.

He gets excited about new projects, tackling tech challenges, and finding creative ways to connect and communicate with people.

Michelle Lawlor

Account Executive

Michelle has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and communications for small business, nonprofit, education, and government. Her background in writing, design, and photography allows her to see and address a challenge from a number of experienced perspectives. Michelle loves to laugh, is a proud rescue dog mama and a lifelong NJ Devils fan who enjoys live music, travel, and strong coffee.

Born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey, Michelle earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Multimedia Communications from Rider University.


Lisa Tomaszewski, PhD

Content Developer

Lisa has been writing, editing, and developing content for over 20 years. She is a recovering academic who taught writing at Drew University and Fairleigh and Dickinson University before making a go of writing in the real world. She has served as an editor on multiple platforms and various topics including medical, finance, travel, home improvement, and lifestyle. She has also applied her writing abilities to marketing and communications initiatives including partnering with Fortune 500 companies and managing social media accounts.

Whether in print, online, or through social media, Lisa enjoys creating and sharing the written word. She is also a self-proclaimed geek and loves Star Wars, Harry Potter, Marvel, musical theater, and Shakespeare. 

Frankie Davie

Marketing Specialist

Frankie is an experienced marketer hailing from Oxford, England originally. With experience in both sports and higher education marketing, she also spent over 10 years in the hospitality industry as a seasoned chef. She earned an Associate's degree in Hospitality Management from Mercer County Community College and a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from Rider University. 

Frankie specializes in copywriting, project management and social media. Back in England she volunteered to be the mascot for her favorite football (soccer) team, Birmingham City, for 5 years, proving her dedication to a company, even if it means dancing in a huge dog costume every week! 

Frankie is passionate about giving back, professionally or personally, and gives her all to any client or project that comes her way.


Yesid Vargas

Graphic Designer

Yesid is a 25-year veteran of the media industry with experience in graphic design, print media, video, photography, and online platforms. During his career, Yesid has demonstrated a unique ability to adapt to the ever-changing landscape and deliver consistent results. Yesid’s fluency in Spanish is critical to Positive Solution’s success, as we continue to expand our capacity to communicate effectively with new audiences. Yesid has been recognized with awards from the Society for News Design, Pennsylvania News Media Association and the National Association of Hispanic Publications.

Karen Coate

Executive Administrative Assistant

Karen Coate came out of retirement to keep things moving for Positive Solutions. She takes the skills she built during a 37-year career in business education and uses them to ensure smooth operations and an optimal experience for our clients. She enjoys working cooperatively with the team and providing excellent customer service. Karen has both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Rider University.
