NJEDA E-Commerce Technical Assistance Program (2020)
Our Role: Through the NJEDA’s pilot E-Commerce Technical Assistance Program, work with small businesses in the retail, restaurant, and personal care service areas to upgrade and improve their e-commerce website capabilities in response to the COVID-19 global pandemic. Work included complete website redesigns and rebuilds, as well as creation of new sites altogether for organizations without a web presence.
Results:
Created fully functional online solutions for 14 New Jersey Small Businesses in Burlington, Mercer, Monmouth, and Ocean Counties
10 businesses received an upgrade on their e-commerce platform
4 businesses with no online presence received a complete website with incorporated e-commerce solutions

Restaurants: 4 (1 located in UEZ Zone)
Salons/Barber Shops: 1
Retail Businesses: 8 (2 located in UEZ Zone)
Supported long-term sustainability by training business owners and staff to effectively use and maintain the implemented solution

Tools and Apps: Working with each customer individually, our goal was to add for them as many practical tools as possible while adding as little additional expense as possible. Solutions included:

PRODUCTS/SHOPPING: Shopify, Ecwid, Facebook
RESTAURANT ONLINE ORDERING: ChowNow, TouchBistro, Square
